Hello, everyone!

I'm Jayna.  
I just graduated from Butler University.
I'm studying to be a Speech Pathologist.
I was born and raised in Indiana, 
but someday I hope to live in the South.
Between my crazy schedule, 
I try to make the most of my time by learning a new recipe, 
starting a new project, reading a good book, 
sharing my Jamberry obsession with others, 
or I've been guilty of binge watching shows on Netflix.


I have a wonderful boyfriend of 9 years &    
I'm incredibly blessed to have him in my life. 


Without the support of my family I would be completely lost.  
My mom is my rock and she helps me overcome any challenges I face.  
She is always encouraging me to be the best person I can be.  
My mom is beautiful inside and out and anyone who knows her would tell you that.
Shout out to the rest of my fam too because ya'll are amazing!!!

I'm obsessed with my dog, Jax.  
He's a husky/german shepherd mix.

This is my first blog and I'm still trying to figure it all out :)

Welcome to New York... It's Been Waiting for You

{New York City Trip Recap} S o this may be 3 months late, but I hadn't originally planned on writing a post about our trip.  As most of you know, I recently graduated from college. As a graduation gift, my mom and step dad let me pick a place to travel to. NYC has been on my bucket list so I figured why not? After hours of planning and list-making the time came for us to head to NYC! DAY ONE Along comes June 8th and we're off to the airport at 3 a.m. We ended up arriving 45 minutes early and took a cab to our apartment in Chelsea. No one should have to wake up that early and endure their first NYC cab ride during rush hour.. Embracing Change: 20 Things I'm Going to do This Year

"What's next?" -- A question that has been haunting me every day for the past month.  I am so thankful that I have people who care about me and who are interested in my future, but this has been the hardest question I have been asked lately.  After applying to 10 programs, I didn't get into graduate school.  The whole process was physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting and I am so not prepared to do it again in the fall.  Becoming a speech-language pathologist is my dream job and I will do everything I can to become one, even if that means I will have to apply again or even five more times. I recently heard from my last school that their program was full and I was not accepted, so this is something that has been weighing heavily on my heart lately.  Out of the 10 schools I applied to, I did get on 5 waitlists, but unfortunately every single program was full before they reached me on the waitlist.  The acceptance rate for the SLP graduate program is a

Next Stop... Charleston!

{Charleston, South Carolina Trip Recap} After we checked out of the Thunderbird Inn in Savannah, we made our way to Charleston, South Carolina. It took us about 2 hours to get there, including getting pulled over for speeding... whoops! We booked a room at the Town & Country Inn and Suites in West Ashley , which was only 6 miles away from the historic district. It was almost impossible to find a room for less than $200 per night this week, but we scored a great deal with this one! The room was beautifully updated and super clean!! I would definitely recommend staying here on your visit to Charleston. We also got two $15 food and beverage vouchers for each night we had booked. DAY ONE We got into Charleston around lunchtime. We were starving, so we stopped at Persimmon Cafe . This cute little restaurant was inside a laundromat, which didn't help us cool off any...
