Hey everyone!  I know it's been awhile... I've been busy getting back into the swing of things after a much needed vacation to Panama City Beach.  I can't wait to FINALLY get some recaps of my trips (NYC, Savannah, Charleston, & PCB) posted this month.  I also plan on doing a post of my favorite beauty products and a fall bucket list.. so stay tuned! ONE. Ozark Trail 30 oz Tumbler  from Walmart So let me just say that these are AMAZING. I recently got scammed twice after ordering a YETI off of Amazon two different times and finally gave up. I have been hearing positive reviews about the Ozark and decided to try it out. On the first day, I went to King's Island and left it in the car full of ice water in 100 degree weather with the windows rolled up.  After 7 hours, I came back to the car and it still had ice in it, so I was impressed. It was a life saver to have at the beach as well. I don't have a YETI or RTIC to compare it with, but for $1...

ONE.   "The Weekenders" - Mary Kay Andrews I have been doing A LOT of reading this summer! And I love sharing some of my favorite reads with you. I'm thinking about doing a summer reading list post or something along those lines.. Anyways, The Weekenders was another one of those books that I couldn't put down! It's the perfect beach or poolside read if you're into murder mysteries. Read the description   here . TWO.   Iced Tea Press   from David's Tea If you know me, you're aware of my David's Tea addiction... I probably have 40+ different kinds of tea. This iced tea press has been a LIFESAVER this summer. All you have to do is put two perfect spoons   of tea in the bottom, fill it with hot water to the line, and press the ice down when it is done steeping. Perfect cup of ice tea every time ;) T H REE.   I have been obsessed with cookbooks this summer. After our New York trip, I ordered 4 cookbooks from places we had vis...

Five on Friday will feature five things I'm diggin' each week! ONE. "I Let You Go" - Clare Mackintosh First of all, I could not put this book down! Last week, I was traveling and finished this book in a matter of two days. The plot twist is genuinely shocking and the book  has a heavy emotional connection. I don't want to give anything away, but I was speechless when I finished. If this isn't on your reading list you need to add it. Now. **Who would be interested in a book club?? I was talking to a friend and we think it'd be fun to create one. Let me know what you think. Read the description here:  http://claremackintosh.com/i-let-you-go/ TWO. Fresh peaches and blackberries from the Peach Stand in Fort Mill, SC.  Oh. My. Gosh. One of the many things I love about summer is the availability of fresh fruits and veggies. On our way home from our trip last week, we made a stop at the Peach Stand and got some local peaches and blackberries. S...

Embracing Change: 20 Things I'm Going to do This Year

"What's next?" -- A question that has been haunting me every day for the past month.  I am so thankful that I have people who care about me and who are interested in my future, but this has been the hardest question I have been asked lately.  After applying to 10 programs, I didn't get into graduate school.  The whole process was physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting and I am so not prepared to do it again in the fall.  Becoming a speech-language pathologist is my dream job and I will do everything I can to become one, even if that means I will have to apply again or even five more times. I recently heard from my last school that their program was full and I was not accepted, so this is something that has been weighing heavily on my heart lately.  Out of the 10 schools I applied to, I did get on 5 waitlists, but unfortunately every single program was full before they reached me on the waitlist.  The acceptance rate for the SLP graduate p...
