ONE.

I have been doing A LOT of reading this summer! And I love sharing some of my favorite reads with you. I'm thinking about doing a summer reading list post or something along those lines.. Anyways, The Weekenders was another one of those books that I couldn't put down! It's the perfect beach or poolside read if you're into murder mysteries. Read the description here.

TWO. 
Iced Tea Press from David's Tea
If you know me, you're aware of my David's Tea addiction... I probably have 40+ different kinds of tea. This iced tea press has been a LIFESAVER this summer. All you have to do is put two perfect spoons of tea in the bottom, fill it with hot water to the line, and press the ice down when it is done steeping. Perfect cup of ice tea every time ;)

THREE. 
I have been obsessed with cookbooks this summer. After our New York trip, I ordered 4 cookbooks from places we had visited. Just this week, I ordered 4 more that I'm waiting patiently to arrive... I love Chrissy Tiegen's cookbook "Cravings." I have at least 5 recipes that I cannot wait to try like the Drunken Noodles, Chrissy's Mac and Cheese, Everything Chicken Sandwich Melts... my list could go on and on! My little sister just turned 13 today so I made the confetti cake from the Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook. Not gonna lie, definitely makes the top 5 best cakes I've ever made list. FOUR. 
Cold Brew Coffee
Why am I just now discovering this!? I'd be in trouble if I lived closer to Starbucks because I'd get a venti cold brew every. single. day. If you love coffee like me, you need to try this. I get it with a splash of skim milk, white mocha, and toffee nut syrup! I really want to try to make my own, but I have no idea where to start.

If you have me on Facebook or insta, you probably know I've started a small baking business! I have had so much fun with it this past month with all of the new orders coming my way. {New York City Trip Recap} S o this may be 3 months late, but I hadn't originally planned on writing a post about our trip.  As most of you know, I recently graduated from college. As a graduation gift, my mom and step dad let me pick a place to travel to. NYC has been on my bucket list so I figured why not? {DIY} Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes On Christmas, my boyfriend of 9 1/2 years popped the question!! Since we want to get married in October, I went into full wedding planning mode after the 1st of the year. We knew that we wanted to do something special to ask our wedding party to be in the wedding. We set up a reservation for 40 people at the new restaurant in Shelbyville, Riverfront Taproom. I contacted each person individually (to keep the dinner a surprise) and asked them to go to dinner with us that evening. The week of the dinner I was busy making boxes and gift bags for our wedding party. If you're on Pinterest, you've probably seen bridesmaid boxes before. Pinterest is where I get all of my inspiration!  My mom and I made a trip to Hobby Lobby to get the boxes, letters, craft paper, tulle, and burlap ribbon. Embracing Change: 20 Things I'm Going to do This Year

"What's next?" -- A question that has been haunting me every day for the past month.  I am so thankful that I have people who care about me and who are interested in my future, but this has been the hardest question I have been asked lately.  After applying to 10 programs, I didn't get into graduate school.  The whole process was physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting and I am so not prepared to do it again in the fall.  Becoming a speech-language pathologist is my dream job and I will do everything I can to become one, even if that means I will have to apply again or even five more times. I recently heard from my last school that their program was full and I was not accepted, so this is something that has been weighing heavily on my heart lately.  Out of the 10 schools I applied to, I did get on 5 waitlists, but unfortunately every single program was full before they reached me on the waitlist.  The acceptance rate for the SLP graduate program is a
